It’s tough to do this if you have a set of useless (read: wet) matches or lighter, but The Legendary Inventor has a few waterproof tricks up his sleeve involving batteries and fine steel wool, a magnesium stick and a good ol’ magnifying glass.

To demonstrate how effective the items are, he even drenched the items with water and first used the battery to light up the fine steel wool, which totally looked easy.
