Welcome to the world of giants! A team of archeologists from Australia’s University of Adelaide has unearthed in what could be amongst the largest human skeletons ever found. The Adelaide Herald reports that this skeleton was found at the Uluru archeological site, close to the Ayers rock in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
The huge hominid specimen measures an impressive 17 foot and 4 inches or 5.3 meters. It was found close to the ancient ruins of what is the only megalithic civilization ever discovered in Australia.
Many other skeletons, equally big, were also found at the site, which is in ruins. A major catastrophe has completely washed away all traces of this lost and unknown civilization.
Professor Hans Zimmer from the university says that the discovery is puzzling. “It is simply jaw dropping”, he admits. “Theoretically, a five meter-tall hominid cannot exist. How did this occur? How is this possible? Although this discovery is fascinating, we are left with more questions than answers”, the professor adds.
We have had such reports of giants from time to time. A few years back, there was a report of a 10 meter tall human skeleton in the south east region of Saudi Arabia. The Saudi military took control of the area as soon as it was discovered. Nothing has been heard since then. There are references to a species of giants that once roamed the Earth in Greek, Roman, Hindu, Native American, Norse and other mythologies. In fact, even the Bible refers to the Nephilim giants.
Some exerts hypothesize that there can be a few huge specimens of extreme gigantism, caused by the over-production of growth hormones. However Professor Hans Zimmer says that this is “pure speculation”. However he still cannot explain the latest Aussie discovery at Uluru.

“Only further research can help us uncover the truth behind this anomaly of nature. Until we have found more skeletal remains, we should not rush ourselves into hazardous explanations”, he says.
The radioactive qualities of the skeleton remains have made the scientists work extremely complicated, but Hans Zimmer’s team hopes international cooperation with other major universities could help solve the enigma of the giant remains much sooner by giving the team access to technologies that are not available in Australia for the moment.
