The story of “The Tortoise and the Hare” came to life when the two animals were placed side by side to race each. As expected, the rabbit started off strong but laid back towards the middle of the event and watched as the tortoise slowly, but surely, win the race.
Someone actually managed to stage a race between a rabbit and a tortoise – and it went exactly as our parents always said although they used a rabbit rather than a hare.
The story concerns a Hare who ridicules a slow-moving Tortoise. Tired of the Hare’s boastful behaviour, the Tortoise challenges him to a race.
The hare soon leaves the tortoise behind and, confident of winning, takes a nap midway through the race. When the Hare awakes however, he finds that his competitor, crawling slowly but steadily, has arrived before him.By the time bunny got going again, the tortoise was already halfway across the finish line.
