This weird sea creature is the stuff of nightmares.
It looks like a cross between a crocodile and a dolphin (a crolphin, if you will) and it’s seriously disturbing.
This image has gone viral after Ethan Tipper uploaded the picture to Facebook to see if anyone knew what the fuck it was. Apparently, it washed up on the shores of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia.
The image has certainly divided opinion with some (obviously) calling it a fake. However, others have questioned whether or not it is a large hairtail.
You know what? I can kind of see it. Or should that be SEA it. Ha. No? Okay, sorry.
Anyway, Australian Museum fish collector Mark McGrouther told the Daily Mail that he believes it is actually a pike eel. He told them: “This is the first time I have ever seen one of them in the flesh.
“I suspect it was caught and discarded by fisherman who got more than they bargained for when they tried to reel it in.”
What do you think it is? Or do you think Mr Tipper is having us all on? Either way, it’s going to be haunting my dreams for the foreseeable future.
