I made this pizza oven out of clay, sandy soil, straw, and some bricks for a cooking surface. I created a dome of wood and covered it with mud. Then, i layered newspaper so the pizza oven would be separated from the dome underneath.

I covered it with a clay and sandy soil mixture. That provides most of the structural support. Then i layered a mostly straw mixture on top of that. The straw helps to insulate the oven.
