William Osman posted a video to YouTube showing him taking on the unusual request from an online fan, who wrote: “Please sculpt a bust of Vin Diesel using laser cut cross-sections of laser-sliced ham.”
Using a high-tech computer program to create a particularly busty model of Diesel’s upper torso, the mechanical and electrical engineer laser cuts the sliced lunch meat and American cheese to create a layered and surprisingly artistic model.
“3D printing with ham, cheese, a laser cutter, and ‘science gone too far’.3D printing with ham, cheese, a laser cutter, and ‘science gone too far’.Somebody asked. Go ask him.”
Perhaps this is just the beginning of laser-cut sandwich art. Maybe, someday soon, school children across America will be trading their turkey and swiss Jason Stathams for roast beef Dwayne Johnsons.
