Multiple clips of E-2C Hawkeyes during land based refueling, and launch/landing aboard U.S. Navy aircraft carriers. The Northrop Grumman E-2C Hawkeye is a twin-turboprop plane designed to be an airborne early warning and control platform. It has advanced radar and surveillance capabilities which allow it to detect enemy aircraft and missile activity, and communicate these threats to friendly aircraft and land forces.
The E-2 also received the nickname “Super Fudd” because it replaced the E-1 Tracer “Willy Fudd”.
In recent decades, the E-2 has been commonly referred to as the “Hummer” because of the distinctive sounds of its turboprop engines, quite unlike that of turbojet and turbofan jet engines.(wikipedia)
