For this project I used a leftover block of glulam beam from a previous carport project. Firs I drew an outline of a my hand on the surface of the block. Then I roughly cut of excess wood to get a rough shape of a hand.

After further removal of wood with angle grinder, I proceeded with long process of whittling. I used my favorite box cutter and a few chisels. For the base I used 18 mm steel plate.

I cut the rough shape with my steel cutting band saw and then finely shaped it using table and angle grinder. Base is atacched to the hand with one centrally positioned wood screw.
