Different worlds are not always so different. In this stunning duet, ballet dancer Virginia Tomarchio and b-boy Lil-G start off opposing each other, but become entranced in a brick warehouse in Florence, Italy.

Choreographed by the artist Kris, the piece is called “Just Like You” and is built on the theme “naked we are all the same.” It was created ahead of the b-boy competition Red Bull BC One Italy Cypher, which overlapped with the festival Danze Firenze.

Lil-G is part of the Red Bull All Stars crew, and Tomarchio performed with the Red Bull Flying Bach Italy Tour, which combines Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Well-Tempered Clavier” with breakdance.Between these two dancers is some surprising and beautiful movement.

Ballet tends to be more traditional, more strict, and more demanding. And hip-hop tends to be more of a social movement; it’s how you feel and how you interpret the move.Ballet is no joke either, it takes hard work and determination, it’s an art of the highest order. Now the two have been mixed and oh hell it’s AMAZING!
