The Wingamm Oasi 540.1 is an ultra-compact motorhome that’s shorter than most half-ton pickup trucks, is designed to drive like a car, and yet has an interior that puts a camper van to shame. The latest iteration of that model is the Oasi 540.1, which Wingamm brought to the 2024 Dusseldorf Caravan Show earlier this month in the Fashion Edition.

The main reason why Wingamm’s motorhomes cost so much is because of that monocoque construction, designed to provide customers with a leak-proof and quieter interior. The GRP shell is first made in a mould and then rotated in the factory, so that everything else can be fitted in.
The Oasi 540.1 shares all the main features with the Oasi 540, so you get a layout with an entryway located towards the rear, which allows placing a much larger kitchen inside than you’d expect for this compact footprint. Opposite the kitchen is a super cozy-looking dinette with an adjustable table that can be anything from a dining table to a countertop extension.

The wingamm patented double longitudinal fold-down bed is quick and easy to use and comes complete with wooden slats and memory-foam mattress. The side wall units remain usable also from the drop-down bed. The toilet compartment located in the rear area is made of solid fiberglass and HPL laminate. The corner sink console in solid ivory-colored fiberglass amazes for its size. The camper stands on a RAM ProMaster chassis, under the hood of this Wingamm, the tried and true 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, this engine jets 276 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque. Power is fed to a ZF 62TE automatic gearbox.
