Under the hood of the Mini JCW GP sits a 2.0-liter turbo-4 producing more than 301 horsepower, the car can reach 0-62 mph acceleration in 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 165 mph, the car is powered by an 8-speed automatic transmission.Video by: Doug DeMuro
Front brakes are comically big, with 14-inch discs clamped down by four-piston calipers. They sit behind 18-inch forged wheels wrapped with 235/35 Hankook rubber.Aerodynamics has obviously been a design concern—witness the bigger front lip spoiler and that massive double-element affair at the back.
There’s nothing holding the MINI John Cooper Works GP back. Custom dampers, stabilisers and springs have been finely tuned for next-level handling. Then there’s the wider track width and lower-than-standard suspension – all primed for pure performance. This is a rebel with a very definite cause./Doug DeMuro
