This is the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD and it’s the most powerful, most expensive, and most special Mustang ever made. The GTD is essentially a street legal version of Ford’s GT3 racecar, with over 800 horsepower from a supercharged V8 and a starting price of $325,000.

Today I’m reviewing this crazy Mustang GTD and I’ll show you the many quirks and features. I’m also going to get behind the wheel and show you what it’s like to drive. Inspired by the track-only Mustang® GT3 race car, Mustang GTD is purposefully designed to be the quickest roadgoing Mustang ever.
The Ford Performance-engineered 5.2L V8 engine with 8-speed dual-clutch transmission is tuned to target more than 800 horsepower. GTD power is transmitted through a lightweight carbon fiber driveshaft connected to an 8-speed rear transaxle, for near 50/50 weight distribution. This results in extremely responsive handling and performance — with a target of clearing the Nürburgring’s 73 turns and corners in less than 7 minutes.

Step inside the Mustang GTD, and the first thing you will notice is the aggressive, driver-centric layout. Deeply bolstered Recaro performance seats provide exceptional support during high-G cornering while still offering comfort for everyday driving. The digital cockpit is made up of a 12.4-inch digital gauge cluster and a 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen that offers hands-free connectivity. The screens are powered by videogame graphics made possible by the Unreal® gaming engine.
