Kyle Cochran from Rustic Nail & Co. gives us a tour of his custom 1948 Dodge 1-1/2 ton shop truck at the 15th Annual Holley NHRA Hot Rod Reunion.
The frame is completely custom built with airbag suspension at all four corners. As for the exterior, it’s mostly stock and still has what appears to be the original avocado green paint job.
Power comes from a twin-turbo Cummins 5.9 L ISB inline-six that shoots the exhaust straight through the hood & producing tons of power and torque. The engine and transmission was built and installed by Kingspeed Race & Repair.
Other modifications include a Flaming River steering system, a Lokar shifter, and a Restomod Air air conditioning system. The Dodge wasn’t built to be a show vehicle…it’s meant to work and has been outfitted as such.
