The Alpine Alpenglow Hy4 is a hydrogen-powered concept car from French automaker Alpine. The Alpenglow has a V8 engine running on a dihydrogen fuel cell designed by the British company Gibson Technology. This block develops a power of 880 hp.
The fully-functional Alpenglow Hy4 is powered by a 2.0 L turbocharged I4 developing 340 hp. The Alpenglow is built around an LMP3 carbon chassis supplied by Ligier and a sequential racing gearbox. Alpine says its performance is comparable to the petrol equivalent, capable of reaching top speeds of approximately 270 km/h.
