This Argo Frontier 8×8 650 amphibious off-road vehicle is powered by a 4-cycle OHV V-Twin air cooled 627cc, 23 hp Cooler Cleaner Briggs & Stratton engine mated to the Argo Generation II planetary differential transmission with high/low forward, neutral and reverse that was available in either standard or an optional factory installed 3.3 low gear ratio transmission.

All Frontier 650 8×8 models featured the Argo / Carlisle 24×1-8 (610 mm) 4 ply mud and swim tires to give this machine great traction and best in class payload all while providing a swim speed of 3.0 mph.
Argo tires are custom engineered to provide propulsion for the vehicle when used amphibiously and to provide superior traction when off-roading in challenging terrain.

It also features front axle bearing extensions for increased axle and bearing life and has a load capacity of up to 1000 lbs. on land or 900 lbs. on water. It can transport 6 passengers on land, 4 on water and features towing capacity of 1400 lb. / 635 kg.
