The Buick Invicta is a full-size automobile produced by Buick from 1959 to 1963.The Invicta was a continuation of the mid-range Buick Century that mated the standard size Buick LeSabre (pre-1959, Buick Special) body with Buick’s larger 401 cubic inch Fireball V8 engine.

The Invicta continued to be the intermediate hardtop coupe, hardtop sedan, convertible and station wagon, labeled as the Buick Invicta Estate until it was replaced by the Buick Wildcat as a coupe or sedan, while the station wagon was replaced by the Buick Sport Wagon in 1965.

This custom Buick Invicta in this video is built by CAL Auto Creations, it retains the essence of the original Buick design, but every inch has been enhanced, refined, or custom fabricated to achieve an appearance and performance that’s light years beyond what came off the assembly line. It’s like a concept car built in the future and transported back to 1960.Every single aspect of this car is so clever and carefully executed that it needs some space to be truly appreciated. Such is the case with the engine. The engine is based on a 401c.i. Buick Nailhead V8 but gets more sophisticated from there.
