Ever wondered why we can’t make an electric car that’s fully powered by solar panels to provide an unlimited range? This video is a lighthearted take on building an infinite range electric car that uses solar panels to provide unlimited energy.

The car has dual 3000W ebike motors to reach a maximum speed of 45 km/h, a 48v 4000w/h LifePO4 battery, 1575w of total solar production. Watch the video from Drew Builds Stuff:
Drew Builds Stuff previously made an electric vehicle that recharges itself with solar power while driving which can go about 100 km (62 miles) per charge and can nearly double that range on a sunny day and takes about 10 hours to fully charge in the sun.

In this new project Drew wanted to see if he could push the idea further and make it add enough range to keep driving indefinitely. Made from two old bike frames and lots of steel, this cool looking roadster is a futuristic proof of concept for how cars could one day be powered.
