Here’s a video about the Ferrari KC23, a track-only one-off based on the 488 GT3 Evo 2020, in action on the Goodwood’ hillclimb course during last year’s Festival of Speed! The metallic silver finish is called Gold Mercury and it features metal embedded in four layers of paint, giving the car an almost mirror-like shine.

The KC23 can also count on unique aerodynamics thanks to the presence of motorized side air intakes and body panels, which open and close depending on engine temperature and driving settings. The rear wing is removable. It can be installed during track days when greater downforce is needed, or removed when parking the car in the garage, to admire the cleaner shapes of the car.

The twin-turbo V-8 from the 488 GT3 is carried over for the KC23, but Ferrari has yet to say how much power the car is making. The 488 GT3 is limited by FIA protocols, and according to Ferrari’s website, offers a maximum of 591 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.

The two-person cockpit is identical to that of the 488 GT3 Evo down to the steering wheel, trio of displays and roll cage. It does feature a couple creature comforts, though, like Alcantara-covered racing seats and air conditioning, the latter of which should come in quite useful during grueling laps.
