Building off our existing GV60, this concept EV features a wider and lower main air intake in the bumper to help cool the batteries, motor and brakes. Roof fins have been added to help control the aerodynamic flow and the 21-inch wheels feature an integrated aero disc to help cool the brakes.

The interior sports luxe bucket seats are upholstered in Nappa and suede leather with detailed stitching in the Genesis Magma Concept Program’s iconic orange color. Introduced at the New York International Auto Show, the GV60 Magma Concept joins the GV80 Coupe Concept, G80 Magma Special and X Gran Berlinetta Concept as part of the new Genesis Magma Concept Program.

The GV60 Magma Concept’s exterior design harmonizes aesthetics with considerations for chassis, aerodynamics and thermodynamics. To enhance stability during spirited driving, the car has been widened and lowered, giving it a more dynamic stance and allowing for a lower centre of gravity.

At the front, a wider and lower main air intake in the bumper effectively cools the batteries, motor and brakes, while the air curtains enhance the car’s aerodynamic efficiency. Three stamped holes above the main air intake, inspired by the GV80 Coupe Concept and the G80 Magma Special, provide additional cooling. Added canards assist in generating downforce on the front axle.

The enlarged fenders with integrated outlets help reduce kinetic energy and improve cooling for the brakes. The titanium-coloured flow-formed 21-inch wheels feature integrated aero discs, which also help cool the brakes. On the roof, fins have been strategically placed to control the aerodynamic flow and channel it to the rear wing, generating rear downforce and ensuring aerodynamic fluidity.

The GV60 is based on the E-GMP from Hyundai and, therefore, has an 800-volt system with up to 240 kW charging power. This means that the 77.4 kWh battery can be charged from ten to 80 per cent in 18 minutes. The output is between 168 kW in the base model with rear-wheel drive and 360 kW in the previous top-of-the-range GV60 Performance AWD model.
