Alex and Hannah, the subjects of our first New Zealand film, have a very cool 1968 Vauxhall Viva as a daily driver. But that’s not the coolest car in their fleet. Their coolest car is their house.
New Zealand is a wonderful country full of incredible people and Matt Farah from The Smoking Tire got to experience it all when he took a business trip down to the land of the kiwis.
In this video Matt meets up with Alex and Hannah, who together restored a 1968 Vauxhall Viva in their at home workshop!
However their home is not your average “home”, instead they own and live in their self built 1986 Flatbed truck that is definitely awe worthy. To meet Alex and Hannah, and to learn about all of their amazing DIY work click below!
The couple shared that 36 days of power only cost them around $25. In total, to build the house cost them $22,000 which included the truck. To save money, the couple used recycled materials whenever possible when constructing the house.
