The Lamborghini Revuelto has finally arrived at The Shmuseum! Join me for an experience for the first time driving the latest V12 Lambo on familiar roads. Boasting over 1,000hp, and an epic soundtrack, there are lots of twists and turns in the story of this car. Let’s see what it’s made of!

After being introduced last year, 60 years after the company was founded and 12 years after its predecessor in the form of Aventador, the Revuelto has landed and made quite a statement. Now taking the 6.5l NA V12 and mating it to 3 electric motors, it produces a total output of 1,015hp with 825hp coming from the ICE and the remainder from the motors that make 110kW each with a 3.8kWh battery pack.

I took my first look at the car in Sant’Agata Bolognese ahead of the original reveal, then had a first opportunity to drive it late last year at Vallelunga, however that was limited to just driving on the track and I’ve been awaiting the first time I can unleash to the car on the road. Where better than, than a familiar route kicking off from my garage, to run through the modes and find out how it handles bumpy British tarmac.

The Lamborghini Revuelto has split some opinion; from struggling in drag races against the much older Ferrari SF90, to being plagued with issues on early delivered customer cars, yet maintaining a naturally aspirated V12 in 2024 and going forwards, and familiar, extreme Lamborghini looks. However, at Lamborghini’s request, I held back from driving a customer car until this pre-production model was available, and now it is; WOW! It turns out, where I had felt the car struggled a touch on the track due to the weight, on the road it is a huge step forwards from the models that came before; in terms of ride, usability and performance. It goes without saying, the Revuelto is more impressive than I expected!
