This is the new 2025 Audi S3, and it’s a small sport sedan that’s gotten a sneaky-good performance upgrade. For years, the S3 has been the middle child between the tame A3 and the wild RS3, but the new version sharpens its edge with more power, more tech, and sharper handling.

Today I’m reviewing the updated S3 and showing you all of its quirks and features—like the redesigned front end with a more aggressive grille, the updated digital cockpit, and the revised quattro all-wheel-drive system. Then I’m going to take it for a drive to see how the added horsepower and torque vectoring change the personality of Audi’s compact sleeper sedan.
The S3 comes standard with sportier, more supportive and somewhat more comfortable seats than the standard A3. The new Audi S3 Sedan conveys pure driving pleasure. The high-performance engine, standard quattro drive and other technical highlights boost its sporty, elegant character.

The turbocharged 2.0-liter four under the bonnet sharpens its reflexes and delivers more grunt. Peak power has been increased by 22 horses to 328 hp from 5,000 rpm to 6,500 rpm. The seven-speed dual clutch transmission can now handle higher starting torque, which enables the little Audi four-door to launch harder off the line. The S3’s 4.4-second 0-60 time makes it plenty quick in a straight line. Starting at $49,995.
