Suzuki is stepping into the electric vehicle era with the all-new 2025 e-Vitara, marking its first-ever fully electric model. This is not a hybrid or a half-hearted attempt—it is Suzuki’s first genuine electric sport utility vehicle. The e-Vitara stands out as a solid addition to Suzuki’s lineup, bridging a shift from iconic models like the Jimny and Swift Sport to a fresh chapter in electric mobility.

The e-Vitara’s design has a unique character. It presents a rugged, almost introspective look, with a bold, squared shape, flared fender arches, and a light signature that gives it an expressive, thoughtful appearance. Suzuki has equipped the e-Vitara with options to cater to different driving preferences, offering two distinct battery setups. For those who prioritize city driving, a 49 kilowatt-hour battery powers the two-wheel-drive version.
Alternatively, for more adventurous drivers, there is a 61 kilowatt-hour battery, available in both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive configurations. The smaller battery connects to a 106 kilowatt motor, while the larger battery packs a punch with a 128 kilowatt motor for two-wheel-drive or a 135 kilowatt twin-motor setup for the four-wheel-drive model. The four-wheel-drive version even features a ‘Trail’ mode for added off-road capability, offering a bit more versatility.

Suzuki has built the e-Vitara on a new platform called ‘HEARTECT-e,’ which is specifically designed for electric vehicles. This platform is lightweight yet protective, featuring high-voltage safeguards and providing ample interior space for up to five passengers. Though it falls in the compact sport utility vehicle category—measuring 4.2 meters in length, 1.8 meters in width, and 1.6 meters in height—it is still substantial enough to weigh 1,702 kilograms in two-wheel-drive and 1,899 kilograms in four-wheel-drive.
