Toyota City, Japan, April 18, 2024―Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) announced the addition of the “250” series to the Land Cruiser lineup in Japan. Alongside this, it has also released the special edition models ZX “First Edition” and VX “First Edition.” These special models are limited to a total of 8,000 units. The Land Cruiser 250 makes a bold entrance with its signature grille featuring broad vertical bars finished in chrome.

Aside from the removal of the First Edition model offered for 2024, there are no changes to the Land Cruiser lineup. The price of the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser starts at $57,900 and goes up to $63,900 depending on the trim and options. The “250” series is available with two types of powertrains: a 2.8-liter direct injection turbo diesel engine with Direct Shift-8AT and a 2.7-liter gasoline engine with 6 Super ECT, both delivering powerful driving and environmental performance.

This power is fully transferred to all four wheels by a full-time 4WD with TORSEN®4 LSD*5 on the center differential. The Landcruiser’s max tow rating is 6000 pounds when properly equipped. The Bronco maxes out at 3500 pounds, and the standard Wrangler can tow 2000 pounds, although the 4xe is rated for 3500 pounds and the Rubicon and Rubicon X trims are rated for 5000.
