In this detailed video tour, Lucas Ravizza unveils “Odyssey,” a custom-built van packed with innovative design features and high-end amenities. Lucas spent nine months meticulously crafting this van, ensuring that every inch serves a purpose while maintaining a sleek and functional aesthetic. Lucas kicks off the tour by introducing the kitchen, a true marvel of space efficiency and thoughtful design. The centerpiece of this area is the set of French doors that serve as both a visual and functional highlight.

These doors, fitted with a smart tint film, offer privacy with a simple click, transforming from transparent to opaque instantly. Behind these doors, Lucas stores his wine glasses, plates, and other essentials, making the most of every inch of space. The kitchen also features a KitchenAid air fryer, capable of baking, broiling, and toasting, making it an all-in-one oven solution for life on the road. Nearby, a hidden charger is cleverly integrated under the countertop, offering a convenient spot to power up devices without cluttering the workspace.

The kitchen includes ample food storage, with upper cabinets, a dual burner induction cooktop, and a spacious Dometic 140L fridge, which can store up to two weeks of food. One of the most impressive aspects of Odyssey is the full hydronic heating system known as “Rixen’s.” This system uses coolant from both the engine and a separate rear tank, offering a range of heating options, including air heat, heated floors, and instant hot water.

The system is controlled by a simple interface that allows Lucas to preheat the engine on cold mornings, ensuring a smooth start without the wear of cold starts. The van is powered by a massive 1200 amp hour battery bank, capable of running high-demand appliances like the induction cooktop and air conditioning for extended periods.

The shower in Odyssey is another example of Lucas’s attention to detail and design. Featuring a Moen shower head with a water flow of 1.5 gallons per minute, the shower ensures efficient use of the 42-gallon water tank. The bathroom also includes the Laveo Dry Flush toilet, a hands-off, no-compost system that is easy to manage, though it requires refilling cartridges. Odyssey is equipped with a robust electrical system, including 1200 amp hours of lithium batteries, a 12-volt cruising comfort air conditioner, and 520 watts of solar power on the roof.
