On the surface, Platypus offers the characteristics of an excellent surface boat, sleek, elegant, practical and remarkably stable. Underwater, it sinks in a few moments to allow the pilot and his passengers to discover the seabed over great distances and hours of exploration.

This unique construction allows the nacelle and passengers to submerge up to 2 meters below the water surface, offering unparalleled views of the underwater realm while the craft’s remainder stays afloat, powered by dual outboard motors that can be either electric or thermal.

The pilot and up to five passengers can dive together, experiencing tranquility and the underwater world, while others remain on deck enjoying the sun before their turn to dive.

The 6 passengers, seated on the central pod, breathe without diving bottles thanks to the Platypus Breathing System allowing excellent breathing comfort and optimal safety at the “semi-submersible” depth, an ideal depth for exploring the underwater world, in 3 dimensions and in complete safety.
The boat is equipped with two Evoy’s electric motor systems named Twin Outboard Breeze that can give over 240 horsepower. This motor also has two 63-kilowatt batteries that can deliver a top speed of 25 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots above water. The prototype has been undergoing testing since 2021, with production starting as early as next year.
