With the Ferrari Enzo and Maserati Quattroporte to his design credit, Ken Okuyama stops by the garage to show Jay one of his recent designs, the stunning 6.0-liter V12 600 horsepower KODE 57. Ken Okuyama needs no presentation. He oversaw the design of the Ferrari Enzo, the Maserati Birdcage 75th, and the Ferrari P 4/5, among other dream cars.

Kode57 is a topless supercar with an aluminum spaceframe, featuring carbon-fiber body panels, a 600 hp 6.0-liter V12 that can be tuned further by Novitec Rosso to even more power, a custom-made interior and, of course, reverse-opening doors.

The car we’re talking about is the Ferrari 599-based Ken Okuyama Kode 57, and it recently stopped by the famous garage of Jay Leno. There, Okuyama was able to explain the ins and outs of the impressive design before handing over the keys so Leno could test it for himself.via (motorauthority).

Okuyama explains that the 600-horsepower, V-12-powered Kode 57 was commissioned by a buyer keen on a car resembling the Ferrari Rosso concept from 2000, another Okuyama design. The Kode 57 isn’t Okuyama’s latest baby.
