Dubbed the 992 by many, the eighth-generation 911 now takes a substantial leap from the previous generation while maintaining a tight grasp on its roots. Read on to see what the 2020 model year has in store for the 911 Carrera S.
Equipped with the refreshed 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat 6-cylinder engine, the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S is now good for 443 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. The robust engine rockets the Carrera S from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and gives a top track speed of 191 mph.

All 992s are now suited with a wider stance, spanning 72.0-inches wide in the back. The expanded-hips look was exclusive to all-wheel-drive and GTS models in the 911’s previous generation. Porsche balances out the model’s figure with a wider front track and front fenders, plus a steering ratio that’s up to 11% more direct. The new look isn’t all cosmetic either. The wide stance offers more grip and space for wider, larger-diameter wheels with a set of 21-inch rear rims./porscheofcoloradosprings
