Every version of the 2023 Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric comes with the same powertrain. It pairs a 75.0-kWh lithium-ion battery with dual electric motors to make 402 horsepower and 486 pound-feet of torque. As noted above, this setup offers incredible performance. The vehicle is able to tow up to 2,000 pounds when properly equipped, allowing you to bring an ATV, jet ski, or small boat along for a weekend of outdoor fun.
