The Ranger is Ford’s midsize pickup truck and it has finally gotten the iconic Raptor treatment. It has more power, cooler looks, and is much more offroad capable. Today I’m reviewing this new Ford Ranger Raptor and I’ll show you the many quirks and features. I’m also going to get behind the wheel and show you what it’s like to drive.

The 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor, a midsized off-road truck, has great performance, impressive tech, and nice interior. The exterior comes with features like flared fenders, unique Raptor front grille, all-terrain tires, and extra ground clearance. You get 33-inch BFGoodrich K03 all-terrain tires, Fox 2.5-inch internal bypass shocks, active exhaust system, and locking front and rear differentials for better off-roading.
The Ranger Raptor’s interior is off-road oriented. Its interior features include heavily bolstered front seats, sporty steering wheel with a12 o’clock marked red band, red trim pieces, aluminum paddle shifters, and a dashboard with honeycomb air vents. It also has a concealed upper glove box, capacious door pocket cubbies, heated front seats, remote start, and generous storage beneath the rear seats.

The new Ranger has the following two engine options: 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with 405 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque (16/18 mpg). The Ranger Raptor’s engine has a 10-speed automatic transmission and is standard with a 4WD setup. The max towing capacity of this truck is 5,510 pounds, and the hauling capacity is 1,411 pounds. Though with a $56,960 starting MSRP, and pretty much fully equipped at that price, it’s over $30,000 cheaper than the Bronco Raptor.
