I Made A See Thru Wheel Balancer to test and show how and why the Wheel Balancers work and I also tested balance beads to show if and how they work and filmed it with the High-speed camera to show in slow motion visually what’s happening inside the wheel Balancer with the balance beads.

Based on the CentraMatic Wheel balancer design and used with counteract balance beads. Seeing the inside of a tire as it rolls down the road is bizarre enough. But for an added effect, the aforementioned balance beads are added.
They’re tiny balls made of plastic or glass poured into a tire once it’s mounted on a rim, meant to balance the wheel as it spins. Balancing Beads are the economical way to balance the vehicle wheel assembly for the lifetime of the tire. Made of coated glass spheres, our balancing beads will not cause damage to the inner liner of the tire.

If the beads have been installed and there is a still a vibration it is worth looking into an out-of-round tire, that the wheel is free of rust and debris, or running your finger along where the tire and wheel meet to make sure it is not kicked in.
