Alpenglow Hy4 is the evolution of a stunning concept car to a dynamic demonstration of intent. This advanced new hydrogen powered prototype opens the road for an exhilarating new chapter in sports cars and motorsport. During the 2024 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, we got the chance to film the first rolling version of the Alpine Alpenglow prototype concept (named Hy4).

The car is currently fitted with a 4-cylinder turbo development engine, a working phase before the presentation of an all-new V6 engine specifica lly designed to be powered by hydrogen, developed entirely by Alpine.
In this video you’ll get the chance to hear the Hy4 engine starting up, giving a few revs and driving on the road as well. I personally think the car sounds amazing, especially considering its a 4 cylinder. I can’t wait to hear what the upcoming V6 engine will sound like!

The Alpine Alpenglow Hy4 is no longer just a concept car but has become a genuine rolling lab designed as a racing car with its carbon monocoque and turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine develops 340 hp. With a maximum rpm of 7000, it injects hydrogen directly into the combustion chambers under significant pressure, facilitated by three strategically placed tanks, it can reac a top speed 270km/h.
