Exhaust jacks are the perfect recovery item for any off road traveller exploring areas where soft sand, snow & mud might be encountered. When a vehicle gets bogged in these conditions a normal jack is useless as it will sink into the ground.

In this video youtuber The Action Lab tries to lift his car by using exhaust pressure from his car engine.I show how a small amount of pressure can be used to lift an entire car off the ground. Then I show how you could even use the exhaust from a car to give the pressure needed to lift a car.

Usually air bags are smaller and made of very tough rip resistant fabrics and can be pressurized with 50 to 125 PSI to exert thousands of pounds of force. I’d like to show the inverse also hold true in using a small amount of pressure but spread over a very large area can also generate thousands of pounds of force.

Simply place the empty air bag below your car where you would like it to be lifted, connect the hose to your car’s exhaust pipe, then just start your car and watch it get lifted up which takes around 30 seconds./The Action Lab
