The frame is welded together before the suspension is attached, which includes 14-inch wheels and real tires. The front suspension even features shocks, indicating the detail this dad is going to for his son’s birthday present. The chassis is based on a One Bow structure, giving the sleek and highly aerodynamic shell with transparent doors a bubble-like shape.

The entire rear end of the AVTR is covered in 33 discrete scales, so called “bionic flaps” used to communicate with people outside the car. It also has special spherical wheels that were inspired by the “seeds of the Tree of Souls” from 2009’s Avatar. These wheels can rotate so that the AVTR can move sideways, or even diagonally.

The concept car is “powered” by graphene-based organic battery cells that do not require rare earth minerals, which may one day be compostable, and the interior is made from recycled plastics and vegan leather.Mercedes-Benz unveiled car in January 2020 at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show./ND – Woodworking Art
