Diy Copper Fence To Keep Snails Away From Tomato Plants

No snails were harmed while making this video, as I like snails. This method is way more humane than using poisons or traps, as they don’t get harmed in the slightest. Watch the video from DIY Perks for more info:

The fence is very simple, just two copper tapes are strung around the raised garden about one centimeter apart. The tapes are connected to a nine-volt battery. No boost circuit, no transistors, just nine volts across two copper tapes.

Bare or non-insulated copper wire or any bare metallic wire, preferably a galvanized wire because its resists corrosion. You can also strip some copper wires from old electric wires if you have some. You can put it around certain plants or around whole beds – just be sure to have previously trapped all the slugs within the fenced area first.
