The device – called a thermo-electric generator – gets attached to a mud oven so people can charge up a torch, phone or radio as they cook their food. The project is funded by British and Irish Aid.
This relatively simple device is bolted onto the side of oven and contains water. As the water is heated up by the oven – the device transforms the energy from heat into electricity and boom, you have a charger.

The beauty of this charging method as the oven can be used to cook food all the time it is charging connected electrical devices.
And here is the step by step guide to making this homemade charger
1.Repeatedly compress/knead the mud with your feet on a matt
2. Make a mound of the kneaded mud
3. You must then mould the clay-like mud into the shape of a basic cookstove
4. It must then be baked hard in a furnace
5. All that is needed now to complete the charging apparatus is a small thermo-electrical generator.
