The Exos is an electric powered machine using GPS to travel to the fields to autonomously mow, load and dispense grass to cows in the shed. Exos can harvest and provide fresh grass to the cows 24 hours a day, saving time and labour for the farmer.

Lely Exos gets an order from the management system and drives to the field, cuts the desired amount of grass, and fertilises immediately. The machine transports the grass to the barn and distributes it in front of the cows. Accordingly, Exos gets recharged and waits for a new assignment.

The Exos can operate in tandem with the Lely Vector automatic feeding system and constantly monitors the percentage of fresh grass in the ration. The system also collects data in the field, so that the farmer can respond immediately to the grass supply at any given moment.
Lely Exos is suitable for dairy farms that feed fresh grass from 250,000 kilos of dry matter and where harvesting can be done on the grassland that is directly accessible from the yard around the farm. The final deployment, numbers of animals and hectares differ per farm and depend on, among other things, the company system, grass growth, number of mowing days and the field layout.
