The Startech Tesla Model 3 is a genuine surprise! With the ever present question of when it will be time to add an electric Shmeemobile to the garage, join me to check out this tuned Tesla from the sister company of Brabus and an opportunity to really drive the EV on track.

The full Startech package for the Model 3 consists of a new look front bumper, side skirt add-ons, a 3-piece rear spoiler, new Monoblock M wheels, lowered suspension by 30mm and the option for a bespoke interior too.
This specific car is the Model 3 Dual Motor with 450hp and 600Nm which does the 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint in just 3.2 seconds thanks to the instant torque and all wheel drive with one motor per axle. The tuning of the performance itself is completely locked down by Tesla hence no traditional increase in power as with a combustion engine.

After exploring the car and the modifications made by Startech, it’s a first for me both to drive a Model 3 variant, but also to drive an electric road car on a race track. Despite the inconvenience of additional weight from the batteries, there’s plenty of fun to be had, in fact quite a surprising amount! With eerie almost-silence while pushing the car around, the power is a plenty, and the drive more exciting than I’d thought, however the original brakes certainly let the side down as they heat very quickly considering the weight.via: Shmee150
