It uses solar power for electricity, a legal composting toilet, and on-site greywater filtration.

The house is located at O.U.R Ecovillage in Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia, Canada which is a 25-acre Regenerative Living Demonstration, Research Center, and Bioregional School that hosts a land-based permaculture learning community.

The O.U.R. vision is “sustainable well-being for the land, ourselves, and our worldwide village.”
