The name of the Smartflower comes from its design, the solar cells are arranged on individual petals that open at the beginning of each day and look like a flower. Every day at sun rise smartflower gets up for work by unfolding the 12 PV-modules. After the sun goes down, the Smartflower’s petals fold up.
Thanks to integrated dual-axis tracking the panels follow the sun the entire day, always at a perfect 90° angle to the sun, which results in highest yield and highest efficiency.
