The carriage-style interior of the vehicle has two benches that face each other. It measures just under 12 feet long. Zoox robotaxi complies with the complete set of FMVSS, is fully street-legal, and has a comprehensive set of safety and comfort features for riders.

The doors of the vehicle can open on either side to allow riders to safely enter. Once you’re inside, there are seat belts to buckle up, as well as cupholders to store your drink. Riding in a vehicle with no driver and no steering wheel was a unique experience.
The sensors on the outside of the vehicle enable the AI driving system to expertly navigate the roads, and exterior lighting like turn signals and brake lights communicate with other drivers to make sure they know what the robotaxi will do next. The robotaxi can transport up to four people. The Robotaxi is equipped with two battery packs, with one under each row of seats. The vehicle can travel for up to 16 hours before recharging.
