Aston Martin, in cooperation with Brough Superior, unveiled the AMB 001, a limited-edition motorcycle that will cost $120,000. The frame is made of carbon fiber, the supercharged engine develops 180 horsepower and only 100 units will be made. Also, it’s not street-legal.
The AMB 001 it’s a lightweight sports bike concept which features a double wishbone front fork, a billet aluminium swing-arm, titanium grips, an Inconel exhaust manifold and structural carbon fibre body panels. The motorcycle’s exclusive wheels are also machined from aluminium.
ENGINE:DOHC 997cc 8-Valve 88-degree V-twin, Water and Oil cooled, short stroke measuring 94mm x 71.8mm.It features a semi-dry crankcase lubrication improving efficiency by reducing the mechanical losses.Transmission includes an extractible 6 speed gearbox an APTC Clutch, and final drive by chain.
Timing is driven by a short Morse chain and a gear train, a compact conception for precision and reliability. The engine covers are machined from plain by aeronautical suppliers. Thanks to the AMB 001’s extensive use of lightweight materials the bike has a dry weight of 180kg.astonmartin
