MIT’S new mini cheetah robot is the first four-legged robot to do a backflip. At only 20 pounds the limber quadruped can bend and swing its legs wide, enabling it to walk either right side up or upside down.
The robot can also trot over uneven terrain about twice as fast as an average person’s walking speed. The four-legged mini cheetah robot can bend and swing its legs wide, allowing it to walk either right side up or upside down.
The Mini Cheetah weighs only 20 pounds and can run at up to 2.45 m/s equivalent of a fast human walking speed. The MIT team has designed a whole bag of tricks that the robot can perform, not just the backflip.

The robot operates completely independent of any cables or other tethers.Unlike the Boston Dynamic Robot which is an actual real product, the Mini Cheetah is just a scientific research robot so you would not be able to buy one ever.
