Smartphones, tablets and other portable electronics have become important parts of our daily life. As smart and as useful as they are, they do have a downside, they need to be charged quite often and that leaves us with chargers and cables that get tangled up and make a mess. It’s about time we solved this problem and the solution is simpler than you’d think: a DIY charging station.

This DIY charging station was built out of a necessity to find a spot for the three tablets constantly roaming our house from my wife and I’s three small roommates. I wanted it to be a fun woodworking project but mix in some cool technology.
