During the MIMO Milano Monza Open-Air Motor Show 2021, I had the pleasure to film the new Bugatti Bolide Hypercar. In today’s video you’ll get the unique chance to hear its 1850hp W16 engine starting up and loading into a truck. This is the loudest Bugatti’s start up I’ve ever heard!

The Bugatti Bolide is a track-focused hypercar developed and manufactured in Wolfsburg, Germany by Bugatti Engineering GmbH.The Bolide is built from the ground up using the framework of the same 8-liter quad-turbo W16 engine and the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission used in the Chiron.

The main influences on the Bolide’s light curb weight is due to the monocoque and all of its components constructed with titanium, along with nearly all of the body panels constructed in carbon fiber.

Further development of the W16 engine allows the Bolide to generate well over 1,824 hp (1360.6 kW) and 1,850 nm (1,364.5 lb-ft) of torque, 277 hp (281 PS) more than the Chiron Super Sport 300+. This increase in power can be attributed to bigger blades in the turbochargers and the different orientation of the turbochargers themselves, allowing for maximum power.
