IVECO, FPT Industrial and Nikola held a joint event for the European press and industry stakeholders in Turin to present the scope of their partnership and its aggressive goal of achieving zero emissions.Nikola presents the heavy-duty electric truck based on the Iveco S-Way truck.

Our trip towards zero emissions has started.The battery electric NIKOLA TRE is based on the IVECO S-WAY and integrates NIKOLA’s class-leading technology.It is the first step on the path towards the fuel cell electric model (FCEV).
The trucks themselves are to weigh 15,000 to 18,000 lb. depending on the spec’s, and that is similar to a diesel truck.The Nikola Tre has 500-1,000hp in 6×4 or 6×2 configurations and a range of 500-1,200km depending on options.

It will be the first European zero-emission commercial truck to be delivered with redundant braking, redundant steering, redundant 800Vdc batteries and a redundant 120 kW hydrogen fuel cell, all necessary for true level 5 autonomy.
