The Hyper-Sub is just over 45 feet long and has a dry weight of 30,000 pounds.On the surface, two 480-horsepower diesel engines let it cruise at 30 miles per hour while carrying up to 6,000 pounds of cargo.It has a maximum surface speed of 40 knots and a maximum surface range of 500 miles. In dive mode the Hyper-Sub can plunge up to 250 feet.
