Together, the Browns drive an average of 110,000 annually while hauling specialized freight. Their custom hauler, equipped with a washer/dryer combo, big-screen TV, double sinks and electric cooktop in the kitchen, allows them to enjoy the comforts of home while on the road.

“We got into trucking on accident,” said Jon Brown, a Landstar-leased owner operator. “We wanted to travel. We wanted to spend all of our time together, and trucking definitely fits the bill for both of those. We planned to do it for a year, and here we are 14 years later.”“We both like driving, so that helps,” said Miriam Brown.
